Michael Schwartzberg is a person with many varied interests, and who was a professional musician, earning music degrees from LSU and Boston University prior to attending law school at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU. Mike gained extensive experience from inside the court system clerking for the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit for two years, and then one year for the Honorable James T. Trimble, Magistrate-Judge and now District Court Judge, United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Mike is licensed in Louisiana and Texas, and authorized to appear before the federal courts in the three federal judicial districts in Louisiana and the Eastern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mike is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. Mike has been helping clients for twenty-nine (29) years, and has been partners with Glen for twenty (20) of those years. Throughout his years of practicing law, Mike has handled a wide range of civil legal matters for individual clients ranging from all types of personal injury and accident claims, to include civil rights violations, to succession matters, business disputes and litigation matters, some of which have been extremely complex, insurance claims, and professional malpractice claims, both legal and medical. There has always been an emphasis by Mike on vigorously representing clients, and giving personalized attention to all clients of the law firm in order that any outcome is in the client’s best interests. Mike grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana since 1986. He is married and has two adult sons. Mike is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Congregation of Temple Sinai of Lake Charles, is a current member of the congregation, and has served as a Religious School teacher and principal.
